HIGHLIGHTS
OVERVIEW
The Palangkaraya and Tanjung Puting Odyssey combines the unique experience of traveling up river aboard a Luxury River Boat the
Rahai'i Pangun and visiting first hand, research and education centres
at Nyaru Menteng and Sabangau. From there we will then transfer to the Tanjung Puting National Park and visit the famed Camp Leakey and the feeding stations within.
This expedition will give you an excellent insight into
all facets of life in Borneo and gain a deeper understanding of the
plight of the Orangutan due to deforestation. You garner a greater understanding of Borneo life and the life of an Orangutan in Borneo on this trip as it combines two of the islands most important Orangutan populations. From luxury boats to small
dugout canoes, from wide rivers to deep forests and from small river
towns to traditional Dayak villages, this 11 day adventure provides it
all.
